34 children enjoy Gloucestershire Junior County Closed
The Gloucestershire Junior County Closed tournament took place at East Glos last weekend, writes squash manager Mark Toseland.
The first squash sanctioned junior event in Gloucestershire since the March 2020 lockdown provided lots of smiles and laughs among all involved. It was encouraging that two-thirds of the participants were club members and part of the East Glos Junior Mavericks coaching set-up.
Thirty-four juniors took part across six different categories. East Glos members walked away with all the top accolades for their respective age categories.
Congratulations to all those who participated and took away what they wanted from the event. I’m sure all players involved will come back stronger, just as eagerly competitive with new ideas and methods of performing at their best once again.
