Aegon junior team tennis update – April 2015

By Steve Worsley, Tennis Manager

After a busy weekend of matches last weekend there were some outstanding performances from our East Glos teams.

Our 8u Mini Red team managed to come 2nd in the county after a good win against Virgin Active and were closely behind a very strong Oxtsalls team. In the 9u Mini Orange, East Glos got off to a winning start beating Virgin Active.

In the county junior events, our 18u boys comprehensively beat Fairford and our 14u girls beat Virgin Active. Our 14u boys narrowly lost to Oxtsalls on a match tie breaker.

In the regional premier division our 12 u boys put up a good fight against Halton but were not able to come away with a win. However, our 14u boys played the same team in their age group and achieved an outstanding 5-1 win.

Our adults enjoyed mixed success with the women beating Royal Berkshire and the men narrowly losing on a match tie break against a very strong Salisbury team.

Overall our teams have represented the club at a very high level and got off to a great start well done.
