Cheltenham squash junior Jack Bloomfield earns scholarship at prestigious US university
Talented East Glos squash junior Jack Bloomfield is set to study and play squash at Drexel University in Philadelphia having earned an international scholarship. He will be the university’s first English recruit.
Jack was first spotted by the university at the British Junior Open last January, and the recruitment process began from there. After successfully taking the American college tests and speaking regularly with the coaches, Jack was offered his place.
Drexel was Jack’s first choice of university because of its superb squash programme, excellent engineering reputation, and its unique cooperative work programme.
The new US National Squash Centre is also on the Drexel campus. Hopefully, the Covid situation will have improved so Jack will be able to fly out and start in September.
