East Glos junior James Findlay reaches national high ranking

East Glos junior James Findlay, 15, has reached a career-high ranking of number six in Great Britain in the 16 and under age group.

James Findlay East Glos ClubIn a stand out year that has seen him win titles in Exeter, Penzance and the Cheltenham Open hosted by East Glos, James added the Gloucestershire 16 and 18 and under singles and doubles titles to his collection as well as becoming East Glos Men’s club champion. In addition to his tournament wins, James also reached his first quarter-final at grade 2 level in Edinburgh.

James has been a long-serving East Glos member, training exclusively at the club throughout his junior years, and was a key part of the club’s men’s teams this summer.

His coach, Chris Warner says “James is an incredibly hard-working and diligent player, who thrives in competitive situations. He gets the most out of himself in training and is a real asset to the club. I’ve no doubt that over the next few years James will go on to achieve some more great accomplishments for himself and East Glos.”
