East Glos Macmillan Coffee Morning on track to raise over £2000

Last Friday East Glos held its 13th consecutive Macmillan World’s Biggest Coffee Morning. Club member Concetta Knee has been running the event for 11 years, since 2005.

Concetta writes:

“Every year I am knocked out by the generosity of spirit and gifts by everyone involved in the Macmillan Coffee Morning. Its success has only grown year on year because of the enthusiasm and commitment of those contributing.

“I cannot thank enough the volunteers who helped before, during and after.   They are too numerous to name individually but you know who you are.

“Thanks must also go to the members, guests and stallholders who all contributed to the buzzing atmosphere and wonderful result.   Thanks too to the East Glos office, ground and bar staff for their support and help.

“To date we have raised £1,635 plus at least £157 in gift aid which generates an extra 25p for ever pound raises. Thanks to Sarah Watkiss for sorting this. HSBC have also agreed to match some of the funding so we are on track to beat last year’s total of £2,000, which is fantastic.

“If you’ve been told you have won a raffle prize, please collect it from Reception as soon as possible.   Thank you one and all.”
