Highest ever entry for Pro-Am Squash Doubles

The fourth annual Pro-Am Squash Doubles tournament took place last weekend at East Glos.

Organiser Tom Ford takes up the story:

With our highest entry to date there was a great atmosphere at the club all weekend. We had such a diverse group of people playing – young and old, male and female, highly talented pros, enthusiastic amateurs, and everything in between. It was fantastic.

On Saturday afternoon we had a great turnout of 12 young juniors from all over Gloucestershire who got the opportunity to get on court with some of the highest ranked pros in the event. This was one of the highlights for me and an initiative I can only see going from strength to strength in future years.

The main draw winners were number one seeds, Jonny Harford and Jaymie Haycocks, who were impressive all weekend, winning the tournament without dropping a game!

The Plate/Amateur event was won by experienced Old Pats pairing Dan Heaton and Bradley Edwards.

It was a brilliant weekend and we are already excited about how we can make it even better next year.
