Men’s and ladies’ tennis teams: Mid-season update

Men’s teams: Two teams on track for Division 1 promotion

With some of the teams having reached the half-way point of the season, here’s the state of play so far from captain Thomas Stucken

A team Premier Division: Played 3 matches so far and have 7 points.

B team Division 1: Played 6 matches so far and have 8 points – had some very unfortunate championship tie break results.

C team Division 1: Played 6 matches so far and have 16 points -still in with a chance of promotion.

D team Division 2: Played 6 matches so far and have 17 points. Star East Glos team and on track for promotion to Division 1.

E team Division 2: Played 6 matches so far and have 16 points – on track for promotion to Division 1.

F team Division 4: Played 5 matches so far and have 12 points still in with a chance of promotion.

G team Division 5: Played 5 matches so far and have 6 points and can still retain their place in Division 5.

Ladies teams: A team set to win division; G team have good chance of promotion

Captain Liz Wilmott reports there are currently over 70 Ladies in the club playing league tennis.

Ladies A team – at the top of the Premiere League with a 100% record with a very good chance of winning the league.

Ladies B team – have had the pleasure of playing the A team twice, in with a good chance of staying in the Premiere League.

Ladies C team – 7 points after 4 games in Division 1 and have played less games than the others in the league.

Ladies D team – 7 Points after 5 games in Division 2 and are currently mid-table.

Ladies E team – 5 point after 5 games in Division 3.

Ladies F Team – 5 points after 4 games in Division 3.

Ladies G team – 2nd in Division 5 after 6 games and a good chance for promotion.
