Revealed: The East Glos connection to Cheltenham’s goose in a pram
By Julian Wellings
A goose in a pram was spotted enjoying a day out in Cheltenham last Sunday.
The feathered friend turned a few heads around the Suffolk Markets, reports Gloucestershire Live, but looked pretty happy with its lot, tucked up in what appears to be a small dog bed which in turn is in a pram.
Why are we telling you this?
Well, the goose is called Hoppy, and his owner is long-standing East Glos tennis member David Taylor.
Hoppy has a congenital problem in his left foot, restricting his mobility and lives inside with David and his wife Ree at their Westbury-on-Severn home.
Gloucestershire Live journalist Tom Gibbon was determined to track down Hoppy’s owner, and far from it becoming a wild goose chase (surely ‘tame goose chase’ – Ed.), he managed to get in contact with David.
