The Richard Pate School gets ahead on the south-west’s first padel courts
The Richard Pate School is the first local school to take advantage of the new padel courts here at East Glos.
Taster coaching sessions have taken place over the last couple of weeks for junior pupils at the local independent prep school.
Led by East Glos Padel Manager, Kingsley Harris, and Richard Pate’s Head of Girls’ Games, Hannah Knight, the children have had the opportunity to learn the basics about this increasingly popular game.
Hannah said, “We are so lucky to have this new facility just down the road from our school at East Glos Club. It is great for us to be able to offer our children another sport as part of our wider sports offer, and it is great fun and very easy for kids to play.”
Kingsley said, “It’s been great welcoming The Richard Pate School children to our padel tennis taster sessions, and we’ve had so much fun teaching them the basics. We look forward to continuing our relationship with the school and have many more exciting opportunities ahead.”
