Steve Worsley appointed as East Glos Club Tennis Manager

East Glos Club has appointed Steve Worsley as its new Tennis Manager.

SteveWSteve brings a wealth of experience, not only through his knowledge of the East Glos programme and its members, but also through his previous roles with the LTA, Esporta and Oxstalls Tennis Centre.

Steve has been doing the role of Junior Tennis Manager since January and will start his new role of Tennis Manager from November.

Darren Morris, Club Manager says “I am delighted that Steve has decided to accept the role of Tennis Manager at the club. I am looking forward to working closely with Steve to ensure the tennis programme continues to provide an excellent service to its members, whilst also developing new initiatives and attracting new members.”

Steve replaces Simon Corbishley who is moving to a new role at Pershore Tennis Centre.

simoncSSimon has worked at East Glos for over 10 years and will continue to work at the club in a coaching role and organising some competitions.

Chris Nelson, Tennis Committee Chairman says “We will miss Simon greatly, he is a hugely popular, highly qualified and experienced coach who has given us over ten years of outstanding service.

“He has coached numerous members to greater glory and some of our younger members to the highest levels of national and international success.

“Simon has been closely involved in running competitions within East Glos and providing a wide range of professional advice to individuals and the club, helping us all to achieve higher levels of performance. We wish him well.”
