Successful grade 2 junior tennis tournament draws to a close in Cheltenham

The Summer National Tour 2021 LTA Grade 2 junior tennis tournament was completed at East Glos on Saturday, 7th August.

Sponsored by RockWealth, there was an exceptional standard of tennis on show all week as the club hosted one of only four grade 2 junior tournaments over the summer for ages U12 to U18.  

Well done to Simon Corbishley, Tournament Director on his organisation before and during the event.

We extend a huge shout out to Kath Lovell, Tournament Referee, on dealing with 12-hour days for eight days. This was a challenging task with the amount of rain that we had for the event. Only two-and-a-half days of play could take place on the grass due to the weather.

Well done to court supervisors Parul Patel, Ray Lovell, Sangeeta Arora and Colin Mendoza. Thanks also to all the officials over the week as line judges and chair umpires.
