East Glos recognised as one of the top three tennis clubs in Great Britain
The LTA Tennis Awards recognise individuals and clubs involved in tennis at grassroots, county and regional levels. A virtual awards ceremony took place on 19th May 2022.
The LTA Tennis Awards recognise individuals and clubs involved in tennis at grassroots, county and regional levels. A virtual awards ceremony took place on 19th May 2022.East Glos was the South and South West winner in the Club of the Year and Competition of the Year categories. That means we went forward to the national awards with the other regional winners.
Club of the Year category
East Glos reached the final three from a field of seven finalists from England, Scotland, and Wales. Grantham Tennis Club won, meaning we were joint runner-up with Esher Tennis Club.
For East Glos to have reached the final three from hundreds of LTA affiliated clubs across Great Britain is a proud moment. It is a testament to the hard work of everyone who plays a part in making East Glos such a fantastic club to belong to.

In the Competition of the Year category, the winner was Suffolk Tennis Grand Prix.
For East Glos to have reached the final seven is another proud moment. Our entry was for the Grade 2 Junior U12 to U18 grass court tournament held last summer. It is a recognition of the hard work put in by the various departments involved: grounds, hospitality, office and stringing, and of course Tournament Director, Simon Corbishley.
