Experience of a lifetime as club members play on Wimbledon’s hallowed turf
On Thursday 7th September East Glos participated in the Centenary Clubs Tournament at the All England Lawn Tennis Club.
The participants were clubs which have existed for a hundred years or more. These included Blaydon, Hutton and Shenfield, Liversedge, Magdalen Park, Priory Stalybridge, Alderley and Civil Service.
Participants were treated to a tour of the grounds and its secrets, the museum and playing on the championship courts. An evening of hospitality then followed.
Club manager Darren Morris says, “This was a truly memorable day, and it was so nice to meet the other clubs and their representatives”.
