Three years ago: Padel courts construction starts at East Glos
This week in 2020, construction of our three new padel courts began.
Padel has been a runaway success for East Glos, with scores of members enjoying the sport every week.
East Glos padel in numbers
✅ Hundreds of new members making the most of our all-inclusive rackets membership.
✅ Eight teams representing the club in various leagues during the summer.
✅ 212 players in the 22 divisions of men’s, mixed and ladies’ box leagues.
✅ Opening the club to the community with over 300 pay and play bookings annually.
✅ Court usage regularly over 75%.
As reported previously, due to the success of padel, the development committee and board continue to investigate the possibility of additional courts.
