Charlotte has had an incredible year and commenting on her tournament success said, “I’ve had an amazing six months, winning my first international singles title and completing the year by winning the Winter National Tour. This is a great platform to start the New Year from, and I’m looking forward to reviewing my goals with my Dad (East Glos coach, Peter Russell) and enjoying the journey.”

Peter said, “As a father, I am very proud of Charlie as she achieved her GCSEs, had a few setbacks with some injuries but has worked really hard. I think she is the first junior ever in Gloucestershire to win an 18&U ITF singles event. As her coach, it is great to see Charlie be inspired by the success that has been achieved and it is great to see that that makes her thirstier to improve and reach her next goals.”
